
Kathmandu, May 7: Lawmakers have drawn the government's attention to contemporary issues during the 'urgent time' in today's meeting of the House of Representatives. Mahesh Kumar Bartaula demanded the government for the prompt treatment of the 10 people injured due to the Bolero jeep accident that took place at Raksirang in Makawanpur district this morning. According to him, the condition of six among the injured is critical. Stating that Bardiya has a large population of the black bucks and urged the government to work for the conservation of this wild animal. He demanded that necessary budget should be allocated for the management of hospitals with ventilators for the people of Bardiya, and for the provision of transportation and farmers' problems. Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal lawmaker Rekha Yadav drew the attention of the concerned bodies to promote agricultural production and ensure pesticide-free production in the predominantly agricultural country, Nepal. She also demanded that arrangements should be made to test the quality of imported agricultural produce. Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) lawmaker Sarbendra Nath Shukla said Nepal has been pursuing a non-aligned foreign policy since the beginning and it was necessary to adopt a policy of cooperation against terrorism in the changing circumstances. He stressed the need for implementation of the policy of collaboration to fight against terrorism. ---
